
The Oklahoma City Thunder advanced to the NBA Western Conference Finals with a 115-110 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers early Tuesday, completing a 4-0 series sweep.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 35 points, while Ajay Mitchell added 28 for the Thunder. For the Lakers, Austin Reaves scored 27, Rui Hachimura contributed 25, and LeBron James recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
The Thunder will face either the Minnesota Timberwolves or the San Antonio Spurs in the conference finals, with that series currently tied at 2-2.
With the Lakers eliminated from championship contention, the future of LeBron James remains uncertain—whether he will continue with the team, move elsewhere, or retire at age 41.
In other NBA action, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 112-103 in the Eastern Conference semifinals, tying the series at 2-2. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 43 points, while James Harden recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 assists. Caris LeVert also scored 24 for the Pistons. The winner of this series will face the New York Knicks in the conference finals.
