In the 20th minute, Li Qiyan scored from close range to double the lead to 2-0. Just three minutes later, Xu Yue sent a cross from the baseline, and Cheng Wandi headed the ball into the net to make it 3-0.
In the 54th minute, Xu Yue again delivered a ball from the left flank to the far post, where Li Qiyan volleyed it home for a 4-0 lead. Four minutes later, Huang Qinyi dribbled past a defender just outside the box and fired a long-range shot to extend the lead to 5-0. In the 60th minute, Huang Qinyi drove down the left wing and slotted the ball into the net from a tight angle, completing her brace.
The match ended with China’s U17 women’s team winning 6-0 over Thailand.
